Being able to stay independent and self-sufficient in your home is something that we all strive to hold onto. Our over 55s accommodation provides our customers with the freedom and confidence to live independently, knowing that they and their home are secure. Our extra care scheme consists of self-contained apartments which have been carefully adapted for those who need that little extra bit of support. Care services are then provided by providers commissioned by the local council.

We recently held an event at one of our over 55 homes where local professionals could find out what extra care homes offer. This was attended by local social workers, social prescribers, care navigators and a representative from the Hampshire Autism Partnership Board. At the event, visitors had a chance to talk to our staff, meet some of our customers, and have a look at the accommodation. We will be hosting another event in the spring.

At VIVID, we endeavour to provide our customers with the best possible service. We have a dedicated independent living team who support the running of our extra care schemes and the customers who live in them. This includes running regular events for our customers like bingo, exercise classes and choirs.

Our extra care schemes are designed to help our customers continue to live independent lives, but with the access to the additional care they might need."

Interested in living in one of our over 55 homes? You'll need to register on your local council’s housing register. They’ll give you a number of points (depending on your situation). Using your points, you can then bid on any of our over 55s homes.
