Why we do what we do

Our Chief Executive, Mary Perry, talks about what we do here at VIVID and why we're so passionate about providing more homes and bright futures to our customers.

It's all about team work

We’re a people business. And we know that having a good home is the foundation for having a bright future. By offering valuable services which go above and beyond, we work hard to make sure our communities are safe and happy.

Every area of our business is important; that includes finance, IT, resources, sales, development, HR, assets, strategic planning, communications, housing operations and repairs. It’s thanks to all our teams that we can keep our offices running and provide the excellent services we do to our customers. All whilst ensuring our homes are great places for our customers to live in.

Here's a bit more about what some of our teams do to help our customers create bright futures

We offer specialist support, advice and guidance to our customers to help them into employment. We help improve their employment prospects and provide them with access to a variety of training. All with the aim of creating bright futures for them!

We’re able to secure work experience and voluntary opportunities so our customers can gain on-the-job experience and build up their confidence. We help with CV’s, job searches and provide interview practice. Whatever their aspirations, we’re there to assist them in achieving their goals!

We each own our own patches and are the single point of contact for customers in our area. By really getting to know our patch and learning about what’s going on locally, we can make a real difference to our customers’ lives. We help make sure their communities are safe places to live and that they're happy to call it home.

Our roles are so varied and no two days are ever the same. Knowing we contribute towards creating bright futures for our customers day in and day out is truly rewarding.

  • Customer engagement and involvement – We support teams across the business to involve our customers in things which matter to them. We take their views and feedback onboard about the services we deliver. Their feedback helps us to continue to deliver high quality services which are really valuable to them
  • Community development and digital inclusion – We make sure our customers feel welcome and at home when moving into one of our homes. And that they have the right support in their neighbourhood. We also help customers get access to the online world, supporting them to develop their digital skills which is useful for work and home life
  • Wellbeing workers – We act as the link between housing, the NHS and social services in situations where our customers are experiencing poor mental health. Our main aim is to make sure our customers can sustain their tenancies. And that they're able to manage their mental health condition with the right support in place. This work is being done through an innovative partnership service delivered by us and Solent NHS Trust.
