We’re determined to give as many people as possible the greatest chance of having a place to call home and over the next 10 years we plan to build at least 17,000 new homes, including hundreds for social rent
There are over 82,000 households in England in temporary accommodation, which includes 123,630 children*. And while we know there’s no quick fix to this complex problem, we’re totally committed to playing a significant part in solving the issue.
We deliver one of the largest housing association-led new homes programmes in the south aiming for 1,200 homes this year and 17,000 of the next 10 years. We plan to do that by using the strength of our finances and our development expertise to build more than we have before.
*Statistics from December 2018, published in a Parliament research briefing on households in temporary accommodation in England.

We’re pleased to have been awarded gold for Housing Association of the Year at the national WhatHouse? Awards in November 2019. And we’re working as a strategic partner with Homes England. This brings us £88.2 million of funding to support and accelerate the building of much-needed new affordable homes in the south of England. Between March 2022 and March 2024 we’ll be delivering 702 social rent homes and 706 shared ownership homes through this partnership, giving lots of people a new place to call home.
