Supporting our local fire services
We recently supported Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service to provide essential training for their team. At our former Eastpoint Centre site in Thornhill, Southampton, our principal contractor, Hampshire Homes Group made one of the tower cranes available to the local fire service so that they could run rope rescue training.
John Crapper, Head of Construction, at VIVID said "We're always looking at ways to support our local communities. We are proud to have worked with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service to provide them with the resources to hold this training and support their life-saving work".
Formerly occupied by the Eastpoint Centre, the site is now entering the second year of a three-year project to build 128 affordable homes.
Michael Penny, Firefighter for Hightown White Watch said "We're extremely grateful to VIVID and Hampshire Homes Group for allowing us to use their site. Opportunities like this are few and far between, so it's great that we have been able to hold this potentially life-saving training".
