We recently spoke to one of our customers, Jane, who we’ve been working with to support for the last few years.
Jane has faced challenges with her mental health, financial worries, and more recently, hoarding. Through it all, she says the support she’s had from VIVID has been life-changing.
“I have to be honest, there are several points where I wouldn’t still be here without the support I’ve had.”
From the moment Jane connected with her tenancy sustainment coach, she felt at ease. Their friendly, down-to-earth approach made it easy for Jane to open up and be honest. Over the years, they’ve helped with everything from writing letters and making phone calls—things Jane found hard because of dyslexia and anxiety—to sorting out financial challenges.
Recently, Jane also got help from our financial inclusion team and specialist assistance with hoarding through one of our partners. That support has transformed her home and her life.
“It’s meant that I’m no longer isolated. Before, my home was so cluttered and dark that I couldn’t have anyone sit down on the sofa. If I fell, I couldn’t always get back up. Now, I feel safe and proud of my space.”
Jane knows we can’t do everything, but she’s deeply grateful for the extra steps we’ve taken.
“VIVID goes above and beyond. They have people who can deal with somebody in any state and will do the best for their customers.”
Her story is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do: helping people feel safe, secure, and supported in their homes.
