Tom appointed to turbo-charge VIVID’s asset and sustainability ambitions

With the sharp focus on building safety, housing quality and energy efficiency of homes in the UK, VIVID have ambitious plans. And to drive this forward Tom Robinson has been appointed as the housing association’s new Executive Director of Assets and Sustainability, set to join the business in February.

Tom brings a wealth of experience gained from over 30 years in property and construction. He has worked in a variety of organisations delivering design, development and construction services. Tom also led as Chief Sustainability Officer for a FTSE 250 organisation, the transition that organisations need to take to a more sustainable zero carbon future. His  track record of driving transformation and improvement in customer-centric organisations will prove valuable.

Mark Perry, Chief Executive of VIVID, said: “Tom’s innate drive for customer service and social purpose coupled with his experience makes him a fantastic addition to the VIVID team. I’m delighted Tom’s joining us. With over £80m invested in our homes last year and £750m set aside in our business plan between now and 2050, Tom will play a key role in helping us decide how and where to invest to improve the energy efficiency of our homes. Central to this is making them as affordable as possible for our customers to live in.”

Tom said: “I’m purpose and values driven and want to use my experience to deliver environmental and social outcomes for the benefit of VIVID’s customers. I’m looking forward to driving forward their ambitious plans and playing my part in contributing to the positive social outcomes we can achieve by providing great places to live.”
