Finding a job can be tough, especially if you’ve been out of work for some time, or you’ve just left school or college and have very little or no experience

We can help you on your journey to finding work

We offer a range of specialist support, advice and guidance to support you if you’re looking  for new job opportunities.

Last year we helped over 450 people, ranging from jobs and training, to work experience and digital skills. Moving them closer to employment.

We offer a free, voluntary, 1-1 support and guidance service and support you with the following:

  • Using computers to carry out job searches, and claimant commitments if your claiming benefits
  • How to apply for jobs on-line
  • Access to a range of accredited and non-accredited training
  • Support to create or update your CV
  • Help with writing covering letters and completing application forms
  • Assistance with interview preparation and techniques including some funding for equipment and clothing
  • Advice and guidance to help further your career.

We have great relationships with a range of local employers and training schemes, which means we can help you match your skills and experience to the right job for you. If you have little or no experience, we can try and help find you some voluntary work which will give you some skills and experience to put on your CV.

We work with a range of wellbeing services and have signposted over 120 people this past year.

Our service is available to any of our customers who are

  • Over the age of 16;
  • Unemployed and looking for employment or training;
  • Already working and looking to improve their hours at work;
  • Looking for volunteering or work experience.

We’ll assess your situation at our first meeting and assist you in developing an action plan tailored just for you. You’ll take control of your goals and work with the same Employment and Training Officer throughout your journey and for as long as you need.
