Part of providing our customers and communities with a springboard to thrive is by supporting them through social enterprise opportunities, employment and training.

Our expert Employment and Training team offers a range of specialist support from applying for jobs, interview preparation skills to providing advice on furthering careers. And, our Money and Benefit advisors offer guidance on managing finances, staying out of debt, support on benefit claims including ensuring you’re getting what you’re entitled to, and tips on how to save money.

Last year our teams helped 265 customers get back into work, 159 enrol in training courses to further their skills and secured £5.7m of unclaimed benefits and income for our customers. But, we want to do more.

Through VIVID Plus we’re looking to partner up with expert organisations to help facilitate opportunities for communities to grow, learn and earn. Our aim is for our work to lay the foundations for social enterprises to be established in our communities.

 

​Our Life on Universal Credit campaign

We launched our #LifeOnUniversalCredit campaign in March 2021 to help raise awareness of the realities faced by those living on Universal Credit and the impact the cut in the £20 per week uplift, introduced at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, will have on them.
