VIVID ranks among England’s top developers, reinforcing call for sustained investment to deliver more homes

We've been recognised as one of the country’s leading housing providers in the latest Inside Housing Biggest Builders survey

VIVID has been recognised as one of the country’s leading housing providers in the latest Inside Housing Biggest Builders survey, ranking sixth overall among housing associations in England (completing 1,549 homes), second for social rent completions (685 homes), and fourth for completions relative to proportion of total homes.

The recognition reflects a consistent, long-term approach to delivery, underpinned by strong financial resilience, disciplined risk management and a partnership-led model. Since its formation in 2017, VIVID has delivered over 11,500 new homes, helping thousands of individuals and families access safe, secure and affordable housing.

Mike Shepherd, Chief Investment Officer at VIVID, said: “Every home we build represents a family with greater security, stability and the chance to build a brighter future. That’s why continuing to deliver at pace and at scale matters so much.

“It’s also about the economic and social value that investment brings - supporting local economies, creating opportunities and strengthening communities.

“This recognition is a testament to the long-term foundations we’ve put in place so that we can keep delivering at scale - not just in the short term, but sustainably over time.

“Our approach has always been partnership-led. Whether working with Homes England, local authorities or delivery partners, collaboration has been central to what we’ve achieved so far.

“But we’re clear that more can, and must, be done. Demand for affordable homes continues to grow, and the sector has the capacity, capability and ambition to deliver more at scale. To unlock that potential, we need continued support from government. The right funding, certainty and policy environment will enable organisations like ours to accelerate delivery and meet the scale of housing need.”
