27 new affordable homes are ready for customers in Barton-on-Sea, as leading housing association VIVID celebrates the completion of Montgomerie Rise, its new development on the former Becton Centre site.
Delivered in partnership with Dorset-based developer AJC Group, the scheme has transformed a vacant brownfield site into a modern apartment building, providing 27 affordable homes for local people through social rent.
Made up of 2-bedroom homes, the development benefits from landscaped communal gardens and dedicated parking. Designed with sustainability in mind, the homes also feature air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points and strong energy performance ratings, helping customers reduce their energy bills.

Local schoolchildren chose the name Montgomerie Rise through a competition, inspired by Roger de Montgomerie's historical links to the area.
Customers will start to move in over the coming weeks, providing local people with the opportunity to put down roots in a well-connected location close to Barton-on-Sea and New Milton, with access to local amenities and public transport.
