£100,000 in community funding offered from VIVID

VIVID launches £100k fund for community projects

VIVID, a leading provider of affordable housing in the South of England, has announced £100,000 of grant funding for community projects aimed at making a positive impact in its neighbourhoods across Hampshire, through their charitable arm, VIVID Plus.

The Community Investment Fund is now open for applications and offers up to £1,500 per project to help get new ideas off the ground, or to support a current community project. Anyone is welcome to apply, from long-standing charities and social enterprises to a single person with a brilliant idea.

Alex Nagle, Customer Services Director at VIVID said “We want to provide more than a home. We want our customers and communities to benefit from innovative ideas that lead to brighter futures. This funding will allow at least 60 organisations, groups, and individuals to realise their ambitions to improve their local communities and we’re incredibly excited to see the positive outcomes for our customers and communities.”

Community projects qualify for funding provided they align with the goals of VIVID Plus and are happening in an area where at least 30% of those benefitting are VIVID customers. VIVID Plus aims to decrease social isolation, assist with the cost of living and improve social cohesion. A full list of its goals are available on the VIVID website. All applications will be reviewed by a panel of VIVID customers and chaired by Action Hampshire.

Action Hampshire is an organisation that connects local charities, community groups and volunteers, supporting positive changes for local communities with tools to make a lasting difference. VIVID are working with Action Hampshire to distribute the funding on behalf of VIVID Plus.

Nicky Judd, CEO of Action Hampshire said “What a lovely job to be able to help coordinate and distribute VIVID's Community Investment Fund! Action Hampshire works with inspiring community groups and voluntary organisations every day. We love supporting community-led action as we think communities know best what they need. We can't wait to help the panel select what ideas to fund and see the wonderful projects that VIVID Plus will be making possible.”

On the VIVID website applicants can find the form to apply for funding, as well as several documents that will help with the application process. To discover more and apply please visit: https://www.vividhomes.co.uk/vivid-plus/community-support/community-investment-fund
