Feedback on your local green spaces

Do you live in Howard Road & Matapan Road or Sandy Hill estate? We want to know what improvements you’d like to see made to your local green spaces.

We are looking to improve and protect our local green spaces. Making them better for our customers and their families, but also better for nature

We recently ran a survey to understand how you use your green spaces, how it makes you feel and what you want to see.

You told us that green spaces are really important to you, but they could be better. You suggested improvements such as places to sit, play spaces for children, wildflower meadow areas, flowering bulbs and homes for animals. 

To build on the feedback you have already told us and give more customers an opportunity to share their views, we are hosting two drop-in events:

• Sandy Hill Estate, Farnham, Rushmoor: Monday 12 February, 10-1pm, Hale Community Centre
• Howard Road & Matapan Road, Hilsea, Portsmouth: Tuesday 13 February, 10-1pm, Hilsea Hub

If you have any ideas or suggestions, please come along and tell us what you think. We want to hear from as many people as possible to gain the best understanding of what’s most important to you.

We will use your feedback to develop a specific Green Spaces Improvement Plan, and following this, look for ways to fund and deliver it.

We can’t promise that we’ll be able to deliver all the ideas raised, but we want to ensure that the plan reflects what’s important to you.
