Board Hampshire Press releases

We appoint two high profile board members

We've appointed Jo Causon, CEO of the Institute of Customer Service, and Shena Winning, Chair of Stansted Airport Consultative Committee, as non-executive directors.

The board sought two high calibre individuals to help drive our new customer service strategy, whilst maintaining our strong governance and financial capacity, building on the G1/V1 in-depth assessment ratings we achieved earlier this year.

Jo Causon was appointed to focus on our customer experience and engagement due to her wealth of knowledge of customer service in virtually every sector within the UK. As CEO at the Institute of Customer Service for over ten years, Jo has worked with a range of FTSE businesses at board level. She has also engaged extensively with the social housing sector on how a customer centric culture and customer experience can be delivered and more effectively measured to deliver better return on investment.  As well as sitting on our board Jo will help VIVID develop a modern customer service strategy.

Shena Winning was selected to help maintain and support our high quality governance, risk management and financial control environment.  Shena has held CFO and non-executive positions in a range of large corporates and is currently Chair of the Stanstead consultative committee and a non-executive director of Guinness Care.  She’ll be Chair Designate of our Audit and Risk Committee.

Jo and Shena join the board from July 2019 and will contribute to the leadership, strategic direction and effective control of the housing association.  They will help us achieve our strategic objectives, promote and uphold our values and represent us to a range of external stakeholders.

Mark Perry, Chief Executive of VIVID says: “I’m excited we’ve recruited such skilled and experienced individuals who’ll enhance our board and build on the strong platform we’ve created.”

Mike Kirk, VIVID Board Chair says: “Shena and Jo both bring fantastic experience and expertise to complement the skills around the table and help us to continue improving our customer offer. I also want to thank Jane Tabor, who is stepping down from the board after serving her maximum term, for her work and dedication.  She’s been a very valued member of the team - her knowledge and expertise have been a real asset.”
