We've achieved the highest ratings from the regulator for governance and viability

We've achieved a G1/V1 rating from the Regulator for Social Housing following our first in-depth assessment (IDA) in December 2018. This is the highest regulatory rating a housing association can achieve with a G1 for governance and V1 for financial viability.

The IDA outcome confirms that the regulator is fully assured that our financial plans support our financial strategy and the confidence it has in the way we manage and govern our business. It was the first IDA we've had since we merged in April 2017 so is seen as real milestone for us.

Mark Perry, our Chief Executive said: “We’re delighted with the result. It demonstrates we’re in great shape to take on forthcoming opportunities and challenges for the benefit of our customers. It also reflects the calibre of our people and business to deliver our ambitious plans, and endorses all the reasons we had for merging. The 40% increase in our house building programme, reducing our operating costs by £11m and the funding we’ve attracted, including our Homes England strategic partnership, have all helped achieve this.”

Our success to date means that over the next 10 years we aim to build around 12,000 new homes.

Mark Perry added: “Central to what we do is building and providing high quality homes and services to support the wellbeing of customers. But we’re not complacent and are highly committed to continuous improvement in the services we deliver. Of course we can’t do this alone and we highly value the strength of our partnerships to achieve all that we do.”
