New Chief Executive

Mark Perry, Chief Executive designate of VIVID since the company was launched in April from the merger of housing associations First Wessex and Sentinel, will become Chief Executive from 17 July.

Peter Walters was appointed as Chief Executive of VIVID, with Mark Perry, Chief Executive designate. This was to enable the smooth and successful integration of the two former businesses into VIVID, followed by a transition to the long-term leadership of the business by Mark.

Mike Kirk, Chair Designate of VIVID said: “I’m delighted to announce that with our integration nearing completion, it is now time for Mark to assume the role of Chief Executive. I’m delighted with the progress we’ve made and now is the time to fully hand over to Mark to take the VIVID success story on.”

Peter will remain as an Executive Advisor to the business for the next few months until he leaves VIVID in October to pursue new career opportunities.

Mike said: “Whilst a fuller announcement will be made regarding Peter when he leaves VIVID, I’d like to thank Peter for his ten years as Chief Executive of First Wessex and for his contribution to the successful formation of VIVID. During his lead at First Wessex the business became a major player in the delivery of social housing within Hampshire and Peter continues as a highly influential figure in the sector.

“I’d also like to congratulate Mark on his appointment. VIVID and the strength of our working partnerships are in highly capable hands as we embark on our ambition of maximising opportunities to make more housing available and affordable to everyone.”

Previously Mark was Chief Executive of Sentinel and was also Group Commercial Director at Affinity Sutton. He sits on the National Housing Federation’s Standing Board and outside of the sector he’s a senior independent director at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
