Make sure you stub it out this No Smoking Day!

This No Smoking Day (14 March), make sure you stub out your cigarettes properly! Did you know that in Hampshire, over half of house fire fatalities involve discarded smoking materials.

Here are some tips for smoking safely at home:

  • Never leave a lit cigarette or cigar unattended
  • Always stub your cigarettes out properly and dispose of them with care
  • Use an ashtray
  • Never smoke in bed
  • Try to smoke outdoors
  • Don’t leave e-cigarettes on charge overnight - they can ignite and cause fire.
