Did you know that over half of all accidental house fires are caused by electricity? 

This annual campaign is run by Electrical Safety First and aims to promote electrical fire safety in the home.

Electrical Safety First has put together some helpful tips on how you can protect yourself and your family from electrical fires; there’s some really simple steps you can take to stay safe. 

The campaign is asking the government to take action to stop people being killed in their homes; their target is a 10% reduction in fires of electrical origin over the next five years.
