They bought their two-bedroom house through VIVID using the shared ownership scheme. We caught up with them to find out how they found it all and what life’s like now they’re unpacked and settled in…

Hi guys! So, what’s it like in your new home?

Charlotte: “There’s a really nice sense of community. We’re all in a similar situation as we bought our homes at the same time, so it helps you make friends. And that’s been so helpful to us as we’re new to the area. We’ve got a Facebook group for all the neighbours and we even went trick-or-treating together at Halloween – it was really fun!”

What’s your favourite thing about your new home?

Charlotte: “It’s a wonderful blank canvas – ready for us to make our mark on it! The views are great and the location is brilliant; we’re outdoorsy people and there’s beautiful countryside right on our doorstep.”

And how has buying your home changed things for you?

Charlotte: “It’s changed everything; it was a fresh start for us just at the right time. And most importantly it’s given us a real sense of security as the house is ours.”

Heidi: “It’s brill; I’m close to my gymnastics class and swimming – and my room is big!”

What advice would you give to other people interested in buying a shared ownership home with VIVID?

Charlotte: “I had a good experience with VIVID. The buying process was easy and I really appreciated the Sales team calling me whilst I was overseas so I could complete the purchase. As a single mum, I was struggling to buy a house on my own, so I feel very fortunate for the affordable housing opportunity it’s provided. I couldn’t be happier with our new home or our first-hand experience with VIVID.”
