Is your home ready for winter?

Top tips

Autumn’s already here and winter’s just around the corner. And the best time to check that your home's ready for winter is before the cold weather kicks in. So, here’s some top tips:

Test your heating

Turn your heating on before the cold weather really hits, and check that everything's working properly before it gets really cold.

If there’s a problem, get in touch so we can book an appointment to fix it. Don’t wait until winter to see if there’s an issue!

We carry our annual gas safety checks in your home. If your appointment is due, make sure you’re in for it. These checks are legally required and important for your safety. If you’ve missed your appointment,  get in touch to rebook it as soon as possible.

Check your radiators

Check to see if your radiators are cold at the bottom when they’re on. If they are, air might be trapped inside. If they’re cold, get in touch.

Leaseholders and shared ownership owners

If you’re a leaseholder or you own your home through the shared ownership scheme, you’re responsible for your own boiler and appliances. You should use a Gas Safe registered engineer to fit, fix and service your appliances. You can find an engineer at GasSafeRegister.co.uk or call 0800 408 5500.
