Carbon monoxide leak

In case of a carbon monoxide alarm or suspicion of a leak, taking prompt action and following these steps will help protect you and your household

 You’ll need to call Southern Gas Networks (SGN) on 0800 111 999. If calling from a mobile phone, go outside or use a neighbour's property
If safe to do so (and confirmed by SGN):
- The gas control valve is located at your gas meter.
- To turn the gas off, turn the lever to the right-hand side so the lever sits horizontally.
- You should then open up doors and windows and leave the property immediately until they arrive.

Our priority is your safety, and SGN will ensure that your property is safe. If further repair work is required, please get in touch and our gas engineer will be dispatched to make your home safe again.
Following their visit please seek medical attention and get a blood test to confirm carbon monoxide poisoning
